Mary, you write so clearly and beautifully. Thank you for reminding us to love ourselves. I do believe we are being nudged to love ourselves more this year and beyond. Our consciousness has created new ways, like social media and reality shows like "American Idol" and "So you think you can dance", for everyone, if they choose, to express themselves. They are amazing ways to express our self-love.

I so agree that we first have to love ourselves-the total us, not just the pretense. I think we need to realize that we are human, which means that we are not perfect. When we love the shadow of ourselves, then, and only then, can we truly love another unconditionally. So, as we learn to approve of ourselves, love increases in the world. Thanks for sharing this blog to remind us all of how very special we each are and how we need to love ourselves unconditionally.
