Also, using your body or your hands to act out the feeling can help. Really the point is just to get in touch with your feelings and express them as they&amp;#39;d like to be expressed, rather than running from them or suppressing them like you said.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Thanks for stopping by, and especially your comment! It can be really, really uncomfortable at first if you have deeply suppressed your feelings for a long time. It does get easier the more you do it. I like to ask the question &amp;quot; Can I welcome this feeling?&amp;quot; (which I picked up from the Sedona method). Being able to welcome sadness, anger or fear is quite empowering. Once you&amp;#39;re more comfortable really tuning in to your feelings, another thing you can do is amp up the feeling as big as you can, really let it rip and make it as strong as possible - in my experience a lot of the time when you do this, it gets bigger and bigger and then POOF it just evaporates into nothingness. It&amp;#39;s pretty cool :)</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/6420983000885677591/5331184689884031453/comments/default/4277215210866190455'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/6420983000885677591/5331184689884031453/comments/default/4277215210866190455'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://blog.selfhelpgoddess.com/2010/01/embracing-your-feelings.html?showComment=1264783180097#c4277215210866190455' title=''/><author><name>Karen McLaughlin</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/07510602668460825298</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email><gd:image xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' rel='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005#thumbnail' width='31' height='26' src='http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_K-5oi48lCf8/STien0yk4vI/AAAAAAAAAoM/vx-sqtouNA4/S220/Karen.jpg'/></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://blog.selfhelpgoddess.com/2010/01/embracing-your-feelings.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6420983000885677591.post-5331184689884031453' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/6420983000885677591/posts/default/5331184689884031453' type='text/html'/><gd:extendedProperty xmlns:gd='http://schemas.google.com/g/2005' name='blogger.itemClass' value='pid-396443014'/></entry></feed>
